Oak side table

This is an Aiden McEvoy designed side table https://amfinefurniture.co.uk/ that I made while working at Aiden’s workshop in Farnham. Aiden is a fantastically gifted designer maker and he was kind enough to let us use his design. The piece is made out of oak, with tapered legs a chamfered top and a hand cut dove tail draw with a cedar bottom. I chose oak with medullary rays (these rays or shimmers are naturally occurring in the wood and transport the sap through the timber.) Once finished / oiled the medullary rays put on a fantastic show.
